Bikes of the Month – August

Holiday season is behind us, we saw a little “dip” in the amount of new custom motorcycles out there, but nevertheless we same some real cool creations this month. This month we have a wide variety of bikes: we have a Moto Guzzi, Honda CBX, a Honda CRF (!), a Triumph Thruxton and a BMW R100R.

Moto Guzzi “MGR 1200” by Radical Guzzi

Not really retro, but also no supersport. It’s a class of it’s own. The so called “MGR 1200” shows a perfect mix between the legendary Moto Guzzi heritage and modern technology. Engineers Stefan Bronold and designer Kay Rieman (supported by the Piaggo Group for “Essenza”) placed a the 1151cc V-twin of the Moto Guzzi Stelvio and gearbox in a classic Tonti frame. [read more]

Honda CBX Cafe Racer by Nick O’Kane

Nick O’Kane is a guy that follows his passion for 2 and 4 wheel performance and works for K&N (yes, the air filter company). Nick is the Powersports Sales Manager by day, and a custom bike builder by night. His latest creation is this Honda CBX Cafe Racer, a real track bike built for performance. [read more]

Honda CRF Tracker by Marcus Moto Design

Marcus Carlsson, manager at Ericsson by day, custom bike builder by night wanted to create the ultimate tracker.

“Ultimate in my mind means minimal bodywork, centralized weight distribution, lightweight carbon fiber and a ‘concept motorcycle’ feel,” he says. And with a modern aluminum motocross frame and a powerful four-stroke thumper engine, the CRF fitted the bill.

Triumph Thruxton by Icon1000

Icon 1000 have just unveiled their newest range of riding gear and with it comes a new website and more importantly a new custom build! The latest motorcycle to join the Icon 1000 ranks has been baptised the “Three Martini Lunch”. Less post apocalyptic in its design than the previous Icon 1000 bikes, I’m happy to say that the 3ML leans more towards the cafe racer aesthetic we love so much; and what better base could they select for such a build than a British born and bred Triumph Thruxton. [read more]

BMW R100 by Sinroja Motorcycles

“Minimal design, maximum impact”, that is what the brothers Rahul and Birju Sinroja try to accomplish when they’re working on custom motorcycles. This BMW R100 is only their 3rd build (R3) and looking at R1 and R2 it’s clear that the brother Sinroja are taking their jobs very serious. Every single part has been taken care of, from a complete engine rebuild to a wide range of custom made parts. We’re looking forward to their next creations!
