As some of my readers don’t know a real winter season for riding, here in Holland only the real die hards and commuters ride their motorcycles. I’ve cleaned and hugged my V7 Racer, to get it back out in March or April next year. This gives me also the time to start working on my own shed project, which only collected dust the last few months… Riding season of, shed build season on!

In Novembers’ Bikes of the Month we have a alcoholic Indian Scout, two beautiful Honda CB’s, a cool Guzzi SP1000 and a timeless Truimph TR6.

Indian Scout “Jack Daniels Black Label”

Custom Indian motorcycles are not featured that often here, so it was about time that a cool custom would pop up. About a year ago I’ve featured this beautiful Indian Scout by Roland Sands Design (listed #5 in our Top 10 Custom Motorcycles of 2015) and earlier this year this cool Indian Scout Boardtracker. This last one was a true masterpiece as a result of the Indian dealer build-off called “Project Scout“. The machine, built by Motos Illimitees, melted down the internet and was the obvious winner of this challenge.

The bike was an anniversary edition to tribute both the 115 year old heritage, as well as the 150th anniversary of Jack Daniels. They decided that it was time for another “Indian Scout Jack Daniels Edition”, but this time a “Black Label”. [read more]

Honda CB750 “Woody” by Spencer Tull

CB café racers are becoming more and more standard. Lot’s of cafe racers are built on this platform and they get a bit boring. But just like the CB550 below, there are some creations that still are worth sharing. This beautiful CB750 is built by shed builder Spencer Tull and has a clear theme: “wood”. Moto Guzzi SP1000 “MagmaMille” by Officine Rossopuro

An Italian ride built for the typical geographic characteristics of the city Napels: a crowded urban area and just outside the city a lot of twisty roads up in the mountains. Officine Rossopuro called this ride a “City Scrambler” and it’s based on a Moto Guzzi SP1000. It’s titled “MagmaMille”, referring to the magma in mount Vesuvius and the 1000cc’s of the Guzzi’s powerful engine. [read more]

Honda CB550 Café Racer by NCT Motorcycles

The Honda CB is still going strong as a solid base bike for cafe racers. But to be honest, we see a lot of similar designs and builds; these bikes tend to get a little bit boring. But sometimes there pops up a machine that makes me look twice. Same goes for this CB550 cafe racer built by NCT Motorcycles. It’s not really the aesthetics of the machine, but I think this is more a matter of design and using the right colors at the right place. Lovely to see. [read more]

Triumph TR6 by The Gasbox

A timeless designed ’60 Triumph TR bobber built as a “replacement” for a priceless Indian. Owner Kirk missed out the auction of a classic Indian motorcycle in Las Vegas, but he knew the former owner (Jesse Basset of The GasBox) had some magic hands, so he called him afterwards to ask if he could create something special out of his old Triumph. [read more]
