The Dutch team Moto Puro set themselves on the map about two years ago with the Ducati Elite II; a custom build café racer based on the 1199 Panigale (check it out here). At the end of 2015, Ducati started a worldwide challenge for Ducati dealers to build their own interpretation of a Ducati Scrambler (or Scrambler Ducati, as Ducati spells), the “Custom Rumble”. Six continents, six winners. Moto Puro picked up their toolboxes and created this awesome “AL13 Blue”:
The name AL13 Blue is a mix of the material used (aluminum or AL13) and the Candy Blue color. Only the frame and the engine are still original. Here is a list of the most prominent modifcations:
- Custom aluminum gas tank
- No gas cap in sight (to keep the line of the gas tank)
- Custom sub frame
- Custom seat with underneath the ECU, ABS pump, battery and gas cap
- Custom aluminum seat cover (a copy of the 1199 Panigale)
- Rear swing arm turned 180 degrees
- Rear shock move to the center
- Rear lights in axle
- 90/90/19 spoked front wheel
- 180/55/17 spoked rear wheel
- Lowerd front
- No handlebar switches; a remote is used to start the bike
- Custom made exhaust based on a 1198
