Donny from Studio Motor seems unstoppable; he’s delivering bike after bike and every time it’s something special. I’ve already featured many of his builds and this latest build is also worth sharing.

Donny likes to work on all types of bikes and this time he took a 2012 KTM Duke 200 as a base bike. This small and light 200cc bike puts out a respectable 26hp to move 129kg. Together with the top class WP suspension and powerful brakes, it’s a pure fun bike.KTM Duke 200 Cafe Racer

The main target was to give the Duke a classic 70’s look with a minimal budget. The biggest transformation was the custom made gas tank and seat. For this they used 1.2mm galvanized plats to shape it. Paintwork and airbrush works from Komet Studio finished it with a simple 2 color design.

Other modifications were minor and limited to:

  • Aftermarket headlight
  • Aftermarket taillight
  • Rizoma clip ons
  • Bar en mirrors
  • Custom made exhaust
  • Michelin Sport tires

Still the work on this bike costed several hours, mainly because of the custom bodywork. But I think the work paid off and shows us that simply any bike can be turned into a café racer.
