Mooyong, the creative genius behind Zeus Custom and one of Bangkok’s top custom motorcycle builders, had a problem: his workshop was way too small. Again. This was the seventh time since he started building bikes back in 2014! But instead of finding another cramped rental spot, Mooyong decided, “Why not build something of my own?” So, he set out to find a piece of land where he could create his dream shop. No more cramped spaces and high rents – he was going big!
Finding the right spot in Bangkok is no easy feat. The city’s bustling streets aren’t exactly designed for spacious workshops, and affordable land can be hard to come by. But Mooyong, being the determined guy he is, finally found the ideal plot of land to call his own – on the border of the city. Now, Zeus Custom has a new home that’s as impressive as the bikes Mooyong builds.
Mooyong’s new shop is like an oasis on the outskirts of the enormous city of Bangkok. It’s in an up-and-coming area of Bangkok, where there is a lot of development going on, but also still quite some untouched green. Although it’s a bit of a trek from the center, planned expansion of the BTS (metro) and highways will make the area easily accessible in the next couple of years.
What started as a plot of wilderness just a year ago has transformed into a unique space that houses three buildings: a workshop, showroom, and a soon-to-open B&B. It is also home to a lush garden and a tranquil fish pond – yes, a fish pond! It’s a place where you can chill, relax, and let your creativity flow. Plus, there’s an outdoor hangout area, perfect for Mooyong and his crew to kick back during breaks. It’s all about enjoying the process while bringing their passion to life.
Inside the workshop, it’s a whole different world. Every corner is filled with beautiful machines that are just waiting to be brought to life. It’s the perfect environment for Mooyong and his team to work at their own pace, crafting motorcycles that are as functional as they are beautiful.
